Time until our Treasurers retirement ...

Important update - Rescheduled AGM

The WorcsCentre AGM is now due to be held on Sat 30th Nov, at Astley & Dunley VH.

After our Special General Meeting held in September, the centre is progressing as follows:
We have until our rescheduled AGM, to fill the post of Treasurer. Should we fulfil the post prior to the AGM, the centre will be released from special measures and continue as normal. If however, the post remains vacant, we will then have three months to discuss and arrange a merger with another centre, but this is reliant on the members of both centres being in agreement and voting 'yes' to a full merger. WorcsCentre would still run as a local rally centre, but all our funds and operating costs would be managed by the adoptive centre.
If all else fails and we're unable to agree on a merger, then the centre will hibernate and close.
Should WorcsCentre enter a state of hibernation, then it can only be restarted, if at least 25 lead members agree to form a new committee, and write to the CAMC, requesting that the centre be reinstated.
Obviously, our aim is to fill the Treasuer position and continue operating as we have been.

The role of Treasurer could be fulfilled by either an individual volunteer, or ran as a shared duty between two members, although if shared, then only one person would be designated as Treasuer for the purpose of the clubs administration.
Please contact either me directly, or any member of the committee to discuss, or if you'd like further information.
Our current Treasurer, Karen Orr, is willing to provide full support during the transition.

Should you wish to join the committe, as either Treasurer or in a different capacity, then please note that the closing date for nominations is noon, on Sat 16th November. Speak to me or send your nominations by email to our secretary, Jo Lennon, secretary@worcestershirecentre.co.uk

There has been an email sent to all registered centre members with regards to this too.

A new date has been agreed for the AGM, Sat 30th Nov 2024, at 2:00pm, at Astley & Dunley VH. This coincides with our weekend family rally for the Final Fling/Christmas party, and as such, WorcsCentre are offering a two course Christmas dinner, plus entertainment by the singer, "Holly J", and not to forget the chance of "Breakfast with Santa" for the children and grand kids.

If you wish to join us for the full AGM rally, then please use the booking line (see rally detail page), but to book for the Christmas Dinner and/or Breakfast with Santa, this must be booked with our Social Secretary, Jo Bradley via email at socialsec@worcestershirecentre.co.uk
Please see the post below, for all details on these two events, we look forward to your support.

Many thanks

Kevin Mills - Centre Chairman

Centre updates ...

Treasurers retirement : Our Treasurer, Karen Orr, is having to step down from her role at our AGM, now due to be held on Sat 30th Nov. Karens departure will leave an important vacancy on the committee, one that must be fulfilled to ensure the survival of WorcsCentre. If you're able to offer your time to volunteer for this key role, please do get in touch with your Chairman, Kevin Mills, to discuss.

2025 Rally Season : Being optimistic, our 2025 rally diary is now available, click here. As usual, volunteers are being asked to help with running these events, all of which have been booked with the respective venues, so please contact Debbie Mills, Rally Sec, to discuss your availability.

WorcsCentre require full payment for rallies, no later than 48hrs in advance of the event. You'll find the account information on the 2024 diary page and cash payments can be made at Lloyds Bank too, accompanied with a payment slip and reference. Note, that should you cancel within 48hrs of the start of a rally, you will be refunded site costs only, the administrative fees will be retained to help cover centre costs.

The key to survival !

We have had need to cancel too many rallies already this season, mainly due to insufficient bookings. Remember, WorcsCentre can only run if rallies are attended, so please check out the rally diary, find a few rallies you can commit to, then book your place by email to bookings@worcestershirecentre.co.uk

WorcsCentre is reliant on your support
